Below is a poem I wrote back in college. (for those that don't know the definition of apathy, it is: ap·a·thy (āp'ə-thē) "Lack of emotion or feeling; impassiveness").

"APATHY"

I'm Happy, I'm Sad
I'm Anxious, I'm Mad

I'm Awake, I'm Tired
I'm Asleep, I'm Wired

I'm Certain, I'm Confused
I'm Bored, I'm Amused

I'm Strong, I'm Weak
I'm Loud, I'm Meek

I'm Brave, I'm Shy
I Laugh, I Cry

I Question, I Forgive
I'll Stumble, I'll Live

So many thoughts going through my head...
this poem would be shorter, if I were Apathetic instead.

Below contains research I've put together, regarding the biblical proof we have:

Archeological proof of the bible:

* Noah's Ark:

- It is in the shape of a boat, with a pointed bow and rounded stern.

- Exact length as noted in biblical description, 515 feet or 300 Egyptian cubits. (Egyptian not Hebrew cubit would have been known to Moses who studied in Egypt then wrote Genesis.)

- It rests on a mountain in Eastern Turkey, matching the biblical account, "The ark rested . . . upon the mountains of Ararat" Genesis 8:4. (Ararat being the name of the ancient country Urartu which covered this region.)

- Contains petrified wood, as proven by lab analysis.

- Contains high-tech metal alloy fittings, as proven by separate lab analyses paid for by Ron Wyatt, then performed later by Kevin Fisher. Aluminum metal and titanium metal was found in the fittings which are man-made metals.

- Vertical rib timbers on its sides, comprising the skeletal superstructure of a boat. Regular patterns of horizontal and vertical deck support beams are also seen on the deck of the ark.

- Occupied ancient village at the ark site at 6,500 ft. elevation matching Flavius Josephus' statement "Its remains are shown there by the inhabitants to this day."

- Dr. Bill Shea, archaeologist found an ancient pottery shard within 20 yards of the ark which has a carving on it that depicts a bird, a fish, and a man with a hammer wearing a headdress that has the name "Noah" on it. In ancient times these items were created by the locals in the village to sell to visitors of the ark. The ark was a tourist attraction in ancient times and today.

- Recognized by Turkish Government as Noah's Ark National Park and a National Treasure. Official notice of its discovery appeared in the largest Turkish newspaper in 1987.

- Huge anchor stones were found near the ark and in the village Kazan, 15 miles away, which hung off the rear of the ark to steady its ride.

- Dr. Salih Bayraktutan of Ataturk University stated, "It is a man made structure, and for sure it's Noah's Ark" Common Sense. This same article also states "The site is immediately below the mountain of Al Judi, named in the Qur'an as the resting place of the Ark." Houd Sura 11:44

- Radar scans show a regular pattern of timbers inside the ark formation, revealing keels, keelsons, gunnels, bulkheads, animal chambers, ramp system, door in right front, two large barrels in the front 14' x 24', and an open center area for air flow to all three levels.

* Sodom and Gomorrah: (Cities that God burned in the Old Testament. Located near the Dead Sea.)

- "Then the Lord rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the Lord out of the heavens" Genesis 19:24

- Each of the ruined cities contain evidence of brimstone which God rained down upon the cities to destroy them. The brimstone is composed of 96-98 percent sulfur, with trace amounts of magnesium which create an extremely high temperature burn. This is the only place on earth where you can find 96 percent pure monoclinic sulfur in a round ball. This brimstone is NOT from any type of geo-thermal activity as there is no evidence of such in the area, and geo-thermal sulfur nodules are only 40 percent pure sulfur and are of the rhombic type.

- Everything in these cities burned and turned into ash, including the buildings themselves as the Bible says that the cities were to be destroyed also. The Bible told us that God rained down "fire and brimstone". The limestone buildings here were totally destroyed and turned into ash.

- The extremely high burning temperatures created a multi-shaded layering of ash that was formed by thermal ionization, caused by electrons repelling and attracting, creating a swirling effect in the remains. The intense fire which God rained down upon these cities was so hot that it burned the limestone blocks that were used in the construction of the cities. The ash there today is composed of Calcium Sulfate and Calcium Carbonate which are by-products of the limestone and sulfur burning.

- Melted metals, and burned human bone have been found at these sites as well.

* History of Moses:

- History found in Egypt, prior to the exodus taking place.

- Above, baby Moses or Senmut, Moses or Thutmoses 2 as an adult with serpent on forehead meaning Crown Prince, Caves in Saudi Arabia near modern Al Bad called "Caves of Moses" by the local villagers.

* Red Sea Crossing:

- Above, chariot wheels fixed to axels standing at attention on the seabed.

- Above, photo taken of a gilded chariot wheel that remains on the sea floor. It was found by Ron Wyatt using a molecular frequency generator from his boat above, after he set the equipment to search for gold. The Bible said all the chariots of Egypt and 600 choice chariots, or gold veneered models, were in the army pursuing God's people. It is speculated there were 20,000 chariots destroyed that day. Above, also, is a drawing of a four spoke chariot found in an Egyptian tomb from the same time period. Four, six and eight spoke wheels are found here in the gulf, and were only used at the same time during the 18th dynasty or 1446 BC when the exodus took place.

- There are numerous chariot wheels, plus human and horse bones at the crossing site. Above is a human femur bone that is covered by coral, and was tested at Stockholm University. It is from the right leg of a man 165-170cm tall. It is basically mineralized by resting in the Red Sea for such a long time.

- Above is a horse's hoof found in the sea floor that is shrunken since drying out. Horses are not found in the Sinai Peninsula today.

* Dead Sea Scrolls:

- These ancient books were hidden in pots in caves around 200BC in order to keep them hidden from the advancing Roman army. They sat undiscovered until 1949. Several manuscripts were found from the Old Testament, (including large portions of the book of Isaiah), and these were compared to the copies that we have today, and were found to be virtually identical.

Fragments of the Dead Sea Scrolls are often shown in various locations. Below is a photo of a fragment that I was lucky enough to go see at APU. This fragment held the words from Deuteronomy 8:3 (5th book in the Bible), that say, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD." This verse was quoted by Jesus Himself in Matthew 4:4 in answer to Satan's temptations.

Experiences:

Many people today experience miracles, and what I have found most interesting is the link between Christianity and near-death experiences. This also includes those who have been pronounced dead, and then resuscitated.

* "Life After Life"
- Written by Dr. Raymond Moody
- It was written as a scientific study, about his findings
- It does not claim any specific religious standing, but does compare the findings to religions
- Majority of people that experience death, have an out of body experience, even though there is no brain activity after death.

* "90 Minutes in Heaven"
- Medical personnel declared Don Piper dead at the scene of a car accident. Ninety minutes after this accident, a pastor, waiting in traffic at the scene, was compelled to pray for the dead man. He did so, and Don Piper immediately returned to life. For the 90 minutes that his body lay lifeless inside the car, Piper claims to have been in heaven.
- He writes about his experience in this book, but 85% of the book is about his recovery after the
accident.

* "Crossing The Threshold of Eternity"
- Written by Robert L. Wise
- This book is written by a man that shares his many observations of the experiences people have right before death. Many experiences relate to Christianity.
- The author shares his own near-death experience.

Ancient Historians:

To put to rest the notion that there is no historic and scientific proof of Jesus outside the Bible, we may look to Jewish historian Flavius Josephus and to Roman historian Carius Cornelius Tacitus - both well known and accepted.

Josephus, in the book Jewish Antiquities" wrote:

"At that time lived Jesus, a wise man, if he may be called a man; for he performed many wonderful works. He was a teacher of such men as received the truth with pleasure. . . .And when Pilate, at the instigation of the chief men among us, had condemned him to the cross, they who before had conceived an affection for him did not cease to adhere to him. For on the third day he appeared to them alive again, the divine prophets having foretold these and many other wonderful things concerning him. And the sect of the Christians, so called from him, subsists at this time" (Antiquities, Book 18, Chapter 3, Section 1).

Tacitus, in writing about accusations that Nero burned the city of Rome and blamed it on Christians, said the following:

". . .Nero procured others to be accused, and inflicted exquisite punishment upon those people, who were in abhorrence for their crimes, and were commonly known by the name of Christians. They had their denomination from Christus (Christ, dm.), who in the reign of Tibertius was put to death as a criminal by the procurator Pontius Pilate. . . .At first they were only apprehended who confessed themselves of that sect; afterwards a vast multitude discovered by them, all of which were condemned, not so much for the crime of burning the city, as for their enmity to mankind. . . ." (Tacitus, Annals, 15, 44).
